Finance Operations Assistant required by important Lloyd's market Insurer. This is a 3 month fixed term contract, interested job seekers must have current insurance industry exposure. The new job will report to the manager of Central Operations and work closely with the European service companies to ensure that premium and claims payment reconciliation is conducted on time and to a timely manner. Whilst located or based in London the successful job seeker for this vacancy will be linking constantly via telephone, video conference and email with colleagues in Paris, Rotterdam, Milan and Antwerp to ensure that accurate supporting information is secured reviewed and stored in support of reconciliation activities. In addition they will be discussing and advising with the relevant brokers to resolve any queries and where appropriate source missing information. Key accountabilities: Completing Infor Sun Accounts v4 (general ledger) accounting entries for premiums, claims and cash.Undertaking matching of cash to policies.Conducting bank reconciliation duties. Sourcing supporting information in order to complete all of the above. Ensuring that all supporting information is stored appropriately for future reference.Producing month end control reports/reconciliation reports using the Q& A reporting tool.Undertaking ad hoc bookkeeping related tasks as required by Central Operations team. Skills and experience: 2 years junior accounting based experience in an insurance company. Experience of using Infor Sun Accounts v4 preferred.2 years' experience in using an accounting general ledger in daily duties. Ability to plan and organise own workloads with limited supervision. Intermediate excel skills as a minimum. Excellent numerical skills. Excellent attention to detail and focus on accurate output. Ability to work under pressure in a deadline orientated environment. Strong conversational abilities and skills - verbal and written. Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and third parties.London market background.
