Government Department is seeking an experienced Transactions Team Leader to support and help in their Accounting Operations - Finance Transactions Strategy, Policy and Process Unit This is a temporary vacancy to start A S AP for an initial 3 month period and will pay £;17.00 per hour. This vacancy offer requires C TC Clearance. The department is responsible for developing strategies, policies and processes governing financial transactions ensuring they remain fit for purpose and meet the organisation's needs. The main purpose of the Transactions Team Leader will be to manage a team of purchase requisitioners ensuring that team SL As and personal targets for both volume and quality are met, ensuring adherence to all policies and processes and effectively contributing to managing performance issues in the team. Duties include:" Ensure staff have S M AR T goals to deliver transactions work using Oracle." Invite constant, structured team feed back to highlight opportunities to improve value for money and efficiency." Form collaborative relationships with clients to feed back on "transactability" of submitted work items identify opportunities for improvements." Work with business partners s to review process issues and implement continuous improvement." Setup and lead on monthly meetings with clients to present performance statistics and agree strategy for improvement." Monitor performance against service level agreements and targets." Review areas of poor performance and progress with corrective actions." Ensure rejection of non-compliant requests provide training to business users as necessary." Ensure compliance with audit requests." Generate reports required by other finance teams. The ideal Transactions Team Leader will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:" Experience with financial accounting systems such as Adelphi ( Oracle), to record report and monitor financial transactions." Experience of managing Account Payable or Purchase Requisitioning transactional teams and reporting performance." Good knowledge of public sector finance processes and procedures." Intermediate Excel." Experience of using Adelphi Business Intelligence." Experience of documenting processes." C TC Clearance ONLY S H OR T L I S T ED APPL IC AN T S W ILL B E C ON T AC T ED
