As&nbsp Retail Operations Assistant &ndash Gift Aid &amp Epos Systems,&nbsp you will deliver retail operational processes in these areas at a high standard. You will be both proactive as well as reactive, supporting the retail function in its aim of raising as much money and awareness as possible for Save the Children&rsquo s work. Working under the direction of the Retail Operations &amp Communications Manager the Retail Operations Assistant will be responsible for supporting all Gift Aid and Epos Systems administrative processes and communications that support the functioning of shops. Your accountabilities will include: Ensure that the whole end to end process for Retail Gift Aid is carried out effectively and compliantly including undertaking and processing notifications, updating donor information and Retail Gift Aid data. Resolve queries relating to Retail Gift Aid in a timely manner. Support the Retail Operations Executive with internal audits and assist with data and quality checks. Support the Retail Operations Executive with process review and improvement. Proactive in documenting these processes, ensuring any literature produced meets standards of compliance. Maintain working knowledge of current H MRC Retail Gift Aid guidelines and regulations and establish how best to adapt any changes to current processes. Support all administration areas relating to the Electronic Point of Sale ( EP O S) system including setting up logins, product/campaigns buttons, stockfiles/barcodes, promotions and till receipt messages. Be the first point of contact for any EP O S system issues, finding solutions with the supplier where possible. Setting up telephone/broadband and discussing and advising with the EP O S supplier in installation of tills for new shops. Also disconnecting and removing for shop closures. Support cover of the Retail Operations email account in active/holiday periods, being the first port of contact for retail teams, effectively resolving queries and requests in a timely manner. Support administration areas of other Retail Operations &amp Communications projects as and when required. All operational processes and information relevant to specific shops need to be briefed and stored in such a way that allows the Volunteer Support &amp Retail Operations Team to access them and respond to queries from retail volunteers/staff. The Retail Assistant will be obliged to provide information otherwise not available to Volunteer Support Advisors/other Retail Assistants so that retail queries can be resolved. In addition you will be obliged to carry out&nbsp the responsibilities of This vacancy offer in a way which reflects Save the Children&#39 s commitment to safeguarding children in accordance with the Child Safeguarding Policy. To be successful in this vacancy you will have: A passion for supporting and helping others. A &lsquo can do&rsquo attitude, effectively delivering the daily needs whilst also always looking for ways to improve the support on offer for retail and remove barriers that have the potential to hinder. Good attention to detail with a working experience of accurate &amp punctual delivery of agreed deliverables Methodical, structured and efficient approach to work. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and manage own workload. Often a need to multi task at short notice. A proactive approach to problem solving. Ability to work well as part of a team. Ability to analyse documentation needs, produce clear and concise documentation. Basic working knowledge of current Retail Gift Aid guidelines and regulations. Experience using stock management or EP O S software systems and CR M databases. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Working knowledge of data protection. Experience of volunteering or working with volunteers, understanding of shop operations and project management is desirable.
