As Regional Commercial Manager you will lead a large field based commercial team comprising Territory Sales Managers, Key Account Managers and also Internal Sales. Your new job responsibilities will be for Sales Force Excellence, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets and price levels and optimum utilisation of production and logistics assets and resources to achieve outstanding customer service and profitability within the region. This is a high public profile strategic opportunity for a university degree educated and experienced construction/building materials or equipment Sales professional. The successful job seeker for this vacancy will already have substantial experience of multi-channel sales into the main contractors, sub contractors, local authorities, retail and builders merchants sector. It is imperative that you already have experience of strategic business planning and field based sales team management. This vacancy offer will cover the Eastern region of the UK and the successful job seeker for this vacancy can be based anywhere in one of the following counties Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, South Norfolk, Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Greater London. Relocation assistance will also be considered but job seekers should have a reasonably good geographical knowledge of the region. This vacancy offer: taking all the responsibility for a very profitable and large, bulk product group, you will provide strategic leadership, vision direction and motivation to a regional team comprising field based territory sales managers and key account managers, as well as internal sales people, to ensure that Eastern regional revenue and budget targets are met. Specifically Development of sales value propositions with marketing colleagues Development of regional business plans in line with the national framework to meet volume and revenue budgets within cost budget Contribute to the development of the sector commercial business strategy Management and development of the regional team of sales and key account managers Coordinate the activity of territory sales and internal sales with the management of national key accounts Work closely with Key Account and Territory Sales Managers in the development of account plans Development of key customer relationships at regional and national level with a broad range of decision makers within multi-channel account customers. Contribute to the negotiation of national deals with colleagues in other regions. Lead negotiations of commercial sales and trading terms with regional accounts Ensure all commercial activity meets the highest standards of Competition Act compliance. The Ideal Person: University degree educated. An additional post graduate qualification in marketing/business or a technical construction industry qualification would be very advantageous Fast track career progression to date gained within a multinational/large corporate environment, able to make a job application best practice sales and marketing management within a dynamic industry sector. High potential to develop to Director level within the business. Strong team and business leadership skills including experience of important field based sales and account management teams. verified track-record in managing change and delivering business improvements. Excellent cross functional relationship building, team working, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills both internally and externally. Excellent sales and negotiation skills at the most senior level of the UK Construction/ Building Materials sector. This could include construction equipment sales or rental on a £;multi million contract basis. Thorough understanding of the building materials market including main contractors, sub contractors, local authorities, retail and builders merchants sector specifically would be a prerequisite. Experience of National/Key Account Management and the development of Strategic Business Plans. Good understanding of construction materials production and logistics/distribution resource planning and capabilities to ensure that customer expectations and sales revenue targets are met. Management of teams and the training and development of people. Experience of negotiating trading agreements at a senior level. Most importantly the successful applicant will lead by example and set the highest standards for their team will be committed to provide the best possible service for customers through collaboration with a broad range of cross functional colleagues and resources within the business £;50000 - £;60000/annum c£;60000 + Car + Perks + Benefits
