HR Advisor- 4-six month F TC Abingdon We are currently seeking a bright, organised HR Advisor to take up a fixed-term vacancy working within an existing team as a HR Generalist offering Employee Relations advice and guidance to managers against existing Local Government policies and procedures via face to face, telephone and email contact. As HR Advisor Your new job responsibilities will be for offering high quality HR professional support and advice to clients - understanding their business requirements and working with them to achieve these. You will provide the full range of professional HR services including support with employee relations casework, change management, learning and development and recruitment. You will lead HR related project work when commissioned within the parameters of client policies, procedures, employment law and current best practice. This vacancy offer will require a minimum onsite presence of 2 days per week at our Milton Park office in Abingdon. With access to our range of unique and diverse opportunities, offering real career advancement and progression we can unlock your potential too. vacancy Detail Key Duties and Responsibilities include: Helping to ensure client retention through effective relationship management and also identifying opportunities to develop and grow the service. offering advice and support to clients on complex employee relations casework and projects ensuring that cases/ projects progress in accordance with client procedures, legislation and current best practice. Utilising the risk model to assess the level of support required by a client for each employee relations case and contribute to an effective strategy for case management. Drafting complex written communications i.e. business cases, reports, letters as required. Interpreting employment law/ legislation to review and develop HR policies and procedures as required. offering advice to clients on complex terms and conditions of service including interpreting associated legislation. Carrying out Job Evaluation ( Hay etc) when required. Designing and delivering training events which reflect the outcomes identified by a client. offering HR input to projects when required using project management principles. Recording all cases onto a Casework Management System ( Oracle Self Service Cloud). offering information/data for reports as necessary. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues (including Belfast Payroll and Admin team), clients, retained council employees, external agencies and trade unions. Understanding and participating in any quality assurance activity.
