The successful candidate will be part of a growing team and your own personal input will be significant on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be working in a corporate environment where on the job training and development is provided to ensure you make the very best of this outstanding employment opportunity. What will your working week be like Overall responsibility for the credit control of the UK entities debtors, with the aim of reducing company debtor days in line with agreed targets. Cash allocation for UK and Ireland entities. Daily job duties will include:
andbull; Maintaining and adhering to credit control policy, proactively ensuring settlement of invoices and following the escalation process to ensure the timely receipt of funds from customers. andbull; Managing a portfolio of accounts which consist of Motor Manufacturers, Dealerships and Intercompany accounts. Analyse debtor reports and prioritise workloads in line with targets and objectives set by the Accounts Receivable Manager. andbull; Proactive communication (phone, email and letter) with customers and stakeholders in the business to support settlement of invoices and promote awareness of any invoice settlement, or general customer concerns. andbull; Send monthly statements for all accounts. Provide copy invoices and resolve queries promptly to ensure resolution and settlement of the invoice within credit terms. andbull; Keep up to date chase notes in accounting system for all accounts and manage the diary date system to ensure a smooth running of the collection process. andbull; Notify Accounts Receivable Manager and Team Leader of potential bad debts and assist with the preparation of the bad debt provision. andbull; Report ongoing dispute.issues to Accounts Receivable Manager and Team Leader with suggestions for resolution. andbull; Review of bank transactions in SAP and identifying accounts receivable items and allocating to sub ledgers and cash matching in an efficient manner. andbull; Prepare cheques for banking. andbull; Prepare and distribute monthly report of unallocated receipts andbull; Reconcile Sales Ledger suspense account monthly to ensure all receipts have been accounted for. Who will suit this job andbull; Professional manner and appearance in line with working within a corporate environment andbull; Good standard of general education. Maths and English GCSE or equivalent andbull; Evidence of practical experience in accounts receivable or a general accounting job andbull; Intermediat. Advanced experience of Excel, Word and general usage of MS Office packages andbull; High level of attention to detail in a job andbull; Excellent organisation and capability to manage multiple tasks within strict timescales. andbull; Flexible and adaptable to changing situations. andbull; Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with non-finance managers andbull; Customer focussed approach in meeting needs of internal and external stakeholders
