Due to our expanding workload they are at the moment recruiting for an Associate Director in Civil Engineering to strengthen their infrastructure team located in Glasgow. Whilst predominantly located in Glasgow, The Job will include regular co-operation and inter-office working with other regional teams in line with their andlsquo;one teamandrsquo; culture. Their award-winning Infrastructure Team is one of the leading civil engineering consultancies delivering high quality technical support to the residential and property sector, banks, private equity, blue chip clients and the public sector. Based at their office in Glasgow, the successful job job candidate will preferably be able to demonstrate qualification and experience in one or more of the following areas. Main Duties and job duties:
andbull; Proven business development, increasing market presence and client care are fundamental aspects of this job; andbull; Managing and developing existing client accounts, and developing new business opportunities for the local team; andbull; Management, planning and coordinating deliverables on multiple projects. client accounts at any given time; andbull; Liaison with clients, consultants and statutory bodies, project planning and the management of internal and external resources; andbull; Client and Key Account Manager responsibility for public sector frameworks where awarded; andbull; Management of civil infrastructure design projects, ensuring technical quality and delivery; andbull; Contributing to the technical development of the civil infrastructure engineering service in the United Kingdom; andbull; Providing technical support and advice to the civil engineering team, in order to develop the skills of other staff and ensure consistency in project management and technical quality; andbull; Commercial and technical management of projects ensuring that they are managed effectively, within budget and compliant with Company quality procedures; andbull; Preparation an.or technical approval of fee proposals, PQQandrsquo;s and tenders. Essential Skills and Experience:
andbull; Positive and passionate approach, with the capability to form constructive, lasting relationships with clients and professional partners; andbull; Degree qualified Chartered Civil. Infrastructure Engineer, or a civil engineer with lower qualifications andbull; Excellent understanding of at least one civil infrastructure design discipline (e.g. construction, drainage, highways, earthworks), together with a good general understanding of all related disciplines. andbull; Proven technical track record of delivering civil engineering services for private and public sector clients across sectors including residential, retail, commercial, energy, rail, highways, education and healthcare. andbull; Experience of managing and mentoring junior staff; andbull; Commercial awareness with effective influencing and negotiating skills; andbull; A visible and participative Team Leader, willing and able to take responsibility and be held to account for the technical performance and advancement of the team; andbull; Strong analytical skills; andbull; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; andbull; Proficient understanding and expertise in the use of software packages relevant to civil infrastructure design as well as Microsoft Word and Excel; and andbull; Clean UK driving license
