HR Consultancy is at the moment recruiting an Engineering Process Leader, based over a number of sites in throughout West Central Scotland. The Job is initially provideed on a 12-month fixed term contract basis, but is likely to extend beyond this. become permanent. The successful job job candidate will lead and co-ordinate the activities of the engineering craftsmen, in line with customer requirements and overall business goals, provide project management support and to maximise operational equipment availcapability, process improvement and leading-edge engineering techniques and maintain business compliance across all sites, comprising of both internal and external policy, procedure, legislation and planned maintenance activities. Key job duties Include:
andbull; Ensure support is delivered to the operational areas to achieve production targets. andbull; Lead the process to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement. andbull; Provide support for CAPEX projects and manage spend to meet operational requirements and business goals. andbull; Take personal responsibility to drive the implementation of engineering improvement programmes and leverage the computerised maintenance management system to deliver world class maintenance performance. andbull; Provide expert technical support to Southern Operations. andbull; Contribute to the preparation and control of budgets. andbull; Ensure the smooth implementation of improved technologies. andbull; Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements, including HMRC, COMAH, Risk Management policies and procedures. andbull; Ensure appropriate housekeeping standards are maintained. andbull; Take responsibility for self-development and identify development needs of craftsmen to continually improve performance. andbull; To be accountable for Permit to Work Authority and Control of Contractors within Southern Operational sites andbull; Responsible for management of Planned Maintenance Systems and utilisation of multi-skilled technicians Qualifications. Experience Required:
andbull; Engineering qualification, with electrical bias and experience in leading and directing an Engineering support function. andbull; 17th Edition and CompEx qualified with good understanding of DSEAR regulations. andbull; Must have experience working in a COMAH compliant site and good understanding of COMAH regulations. andbull; Experience using and managing a CMMS and a Change Management Control System. andbull; Ideal background will include significant change management experience in a customer focused environment. andbull; Must hold a current and clean driving license. andbull; Experience of managing a multi-discipline engineering team (mechanical and electrical) and the capability to provide the leadership, which directs and focuses the contribution of others to meeting the business needs. andbull; Must demonstrate a pragmatic, insightful approach to problem solving and continuous improvement techniques and 5S awareness. andbull; Will possess the drive, tenacity, enthusiasm and desire to achieve excellence in engineering support. andbull; Provide engineering support which will add value to the business. andbull; Will demonstrate a wide understanding and experience of engineering functions. andbull; Demonstrate commercial awareness. andbull; Communicate effectively at all levels inside and outside the Company. andbull; Working understanding of PL. SCADA systems andbull; IOSH or NEBOSH would be beneficial but not essential. In return, The employer provides a highly competitive salary along with a great benefits package.
